Not everybody watches the Super Bowl solely for the action on the football field. Some do it for the commercials, others love the half-time show, and movie fans are likely keen to see what trailers will air during the game. And Super Bowl 50 certainly delivered when it comes to new trailers, offering us sneak peaks at some of the most exciting movies hitting theaters this year.

10 Cloverfield Lane

Cloverfield 2

is almost upon us, a J.J. Abrams project that was kept secret until a few weeks ago. There’s a new trailer out and it’s about as scary and mysterious as you’d expect. We have no idea what happens in 10 Cloverfield Lane, but the movie should be on your radar if you liked Cloverfield.

Captain America: Civil War

Captain America will fight Iron Man in Civil War, so we can’t help but be excited to see this second massive clash of heroes – the first being Batman v. Superman, of course. Captain America 3 premieres on May 6th, but until then you can watch the brand new trailer below.

Deadpool

Yes, Deadpool debuts this week. And yes, we’ve talked about it a lot. Maybe too much. But hey, he’s Deadpool.

Here’s the brand new Super Bowl trailer:

Independence Day: Resurgence

Independence Day 2

hits theaters on June 24th – though its official name is Independence Day: Resurgence. The aliens are back to attack Earth, and we’ll have to fight them with their own weaponry and advanced tech – but without Will Smith. And the Super Bowl trailer is definitely a hair-raiser.

Jason Bourne

What’s the name of the fifth movie in the Bourne saga? Jason Bourne. That’s it. And Matt Damon is thankfully back to make it interesting. The movie comes out on July 29th, but the trailer is available right now.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

On June 3rd, a new TMNT film launches, bringing back the four unexpected heroes, April, and a bunch of bad guys you’re surely going to recognize from the cartoons. We won’t spoil it for you, but check the new 45-second trailer below.

The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book

movie we deserve is coming to a cinema near you on April 15th. Disney made it, but it’s not an animation, and it’s definitely a title to keep an eye out for. Starring Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walken, this Jungle Book film might be the biggest surprise of the year.

The Secret Life of Pets

We’ve recently seen a new trailer for The Secret Life of Pets, but we still want more. The creators of Despicable Me and Minions are back with a film about our pets. And what they do when we’re away. It’s not always pretty, and we’ll get all the details this July when the movie launches.

X-Men: Apocalypse

There’s going to be plenty of war and destruction in this superhero movie as well. X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27th, and our favorite mutants will have their work cut out for them.
