One of the coolest products Samsung unveiled during its CES 2016 on Tuesday is a new tablet, the Galaxy TabPro S. That sort of a product name certainly sounds confusing, and Samsung fans might immediately draw the wrong conclusions about it. It’s not an Android-based iPad Pro clone, which would be the decent thing Samsung could do. It’s a Windows 10-running Surface Pro clone, but one that definitely deserves your attention.

Moving past the fact that the Galaxy TabPro S seems to be a faithful copy of the Surface Pro line – and who could blame Samsung or any other laptop maker for copying Microsoft’s computers after the latter chose to invade their space with gorgeous hardware – you’ll discover that the tablet-laptop is quite a powerful machine.
We’re looking at a 12-inch device with 2160 x 1440 Super AMOLED display, 2.2GHz sixth-generation Intel Core M processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB SSD, 5-megapixel front and rear cameras, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, optional Cat. 6 LTE, GPS and GLONASS, 5,200 mAh battery, and Windows 10 Home or Pro running the show.
Samsung says the battery is good for 10.5 hours of use and requires just 2.5 hours to reach a full charge.
The new tablet measures just 6.3mm in thickness and weighs 696g (with LTE) or 693g without. The device comes with its own keyboard case, which is what we’d expect from any Surface Pro lookalike, and which comes included with the device. a multi-port adaptor that includes HDMI, USB Type-A and USB Type-C connectors, and a Bluetooth Pen will be sold separately.
Pricing details remain a mystery for the time being, but the tablet/laptop should be launched in various markets this February.
