It wouldn’t have taken a crystal ball to foresee a huge rush of last-minute iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus rumors ahead of Apple’s official unveiling, which will take place during a big press conference this coming Wednesday. With just a few days to go before Apple’s next-generation iPhones go from rumor to reality, one last wave of rumors is washing over the web.

Earlier today we told you about a hugely important new feature coming to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus that will finally address one of the biggest problems people have with Apple’s current iPhones. Now, we’re back with another big leak issued by not one but two different reliable sources.

DON’T MISS: Leak: iPhone 7 will solve two of the three biggest problems with iPhones

So, how are Apple’s “boring” new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus shaping up? Oh, they’ll only be the fastest smartphones you can buy, with twice the storage, killer cameras and an improved design. No big deal, right?

Well, things get even better than that, Apple fans. It looks like we can count dramatically improved water resistance among the new features that will be touted by Apple’s new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Still upset the company removed the headphone jack? You won’t be the first time you drop your new iPhone 7 in a sink or toilet and it comes away working perfectly.

Beyond that, we now have two independent reports from reliable sources suggesting that Apple’s next-generation iPhones will come in not one but two new color options. This is a big deal considering Apple introduced its first new color in quite some time on last year’s iPhone models, but it makes sense considering the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus look a lot like Apple’s iPhones from the previous two years, so new colors will offer some more incentive to upgrade.

According to both reports, we can expect a new matte black color to replace Apple’s current Space Gray iPhones. The color appeared in an earlier leak to look like a much darker version of Space Gray. Additionally, it appears as though a new glossy black color is in the cards as well, and it’s being referred to as “piano black.”

The news comes from two solid sources. First, the most reliable Apple insider in the world mentioned the two new colors in a note to clients on Saturday. KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo has been wrong in the past, but it doesn’t happen very often.

Then gadget leaker The Malignant posted two photos sourced from an anonymous Chinese forum user. The pictures appear to show stickers that were taken from iPhone 7 prototypes and fixed to Foxconn badges in an effort to reinforce their legitimacy. One sticker apparently lists piano black as the iPhone 7’s color, and the second lists dark black.

Apple is set to unveil its new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus during Wednesday’s big press conference, so we’ll find out exactly what these new iPhone colors look like soon enough. The phones are then expected to be made available for preorder beginning this Friday, September 9th, ahead of their release on September 16th.
