Apple rolled out iOS 16 beta 4 and iPadOS 16 beta 4 on Wednesday, July 27th.

It’s been three long weeks since Apple’s third developer betas arrived. Typically, Apple has a new beta ready every week or two, but developers and other early adopters of iOS 16 had to wait 21 days between betas this time around. In the meantime, Apple launched the first iOS 16 public beta on July 11th, and a new public beta should hit soon.

What’s new in iOS 16 beta 4?

The latest iOS 16 beta has brought major changes to message editing. The ability to edit or even unsend messages is one of the most notable features of iOS 16. In iOS 16 beta 4, Apple has limited the number of times that you can edit a message to five. And while you still have 15 minutes to edit a message, you now only have two minutes to unsend.

If you want, you can also install the update through iTunes by connecting your iOS device to your computer. Whichever method you choose, just make sure to back up your device before installing the update. You can never be too careful!
