There are hundreds of robot vacuums today. And if you think about it, 20 years ago, robot vacuums didn’t even exist.
Now, I’m reviewing a top of the line model from Ecovacs that is packed with so much technology, sensors, and software, that it’s kind of making my head explode.
This new model, the DEEBOT T30S, is a contender for ultimate robotic vacuum. But can it take the prize? A BGR Platinum award? Let’s see.
Overview
Tons of consumers use traditional vacuum cleaners, do manual labor, and even have to empty the dustbin while exposing themselves to lots of fine particles and allegens. Plus we haven’t even talked about mopping yet.
ECOVACS, a leading name in the world of robot vacuums, and based on user feedback, has incorporated a bunch of improvements while developing the DEEBOT T30S lineup to address them head-on. Touted as their most advanced tangle-free and edge-mopping all-in-one robot vacuum lineup, these devices are packed with features designed to improve your daily cleaning experience.
ZeroTangle Anti-Tangle Technology
One of the standout features of the DEEBOT T30S is what Ecovacs calls ZeroTangle technology. Combining a V-shaped brush and dual combs, this ingenious design basically prevents tangles and efficiently removes hair from your floors. What is the result? I also noticed that this new model was able to pick up dust and dirt closer to the edges and baseboards than any other robot vacuum I have used before.

There is a mop extender that insanely and automatically adjusts the mop-to-edge distance during corner turns, eliminating the need for pauses and retractions. With 1mm edge accuracy and 98% improved coverage, this feature on paper ensures that your robot vacuum cleans every nook and cranny of your home. I also noticed myself that this new model was able to pick up dust and dirt closer to the edges and baseboards than any other robot vacuum I have used before.
When encountering a right angle, the TruEdge system guides the robot vacuum along a polygonal route, giving you complete coverage of corner edges. This to me is a significant improvement over traditional robot vacuums, which often follow a curved route and leave behind areas with missed cleaning, even with a full cleaning mode enabled.

When it comes to raw cleaning power, the DEEBOT T30S doesn’t disappoint either. Boasting an industry-leading 11,000 Pa suction power, this robot vacuum combine an advanced motor with a unique duct design to deliver strong carpet cleaning performance.

Last but not least, the voice assistance command feature allows you to activate your robot with a simple spoken phrase.

The all-in-one combo station
The combo station is the heart of the DEEBOT T30S cleaning system. Ecovacs says there is a 17% reduction in height for the water tank and an impression 30% reduction in the auto refill module, making it more compact.
It integrates a bunch of advanced features, including Auto Self-Empty, Hot-Water Mop-Washing, Auto Small-Tank Refill, One-Tap Self-Cleaning Procedure, and Hot-Air Drying. I found these features to work well together and one that I thought was smart was the hot air drying. This dries the mop pads after use so that they don’t stay wet, mildew, and smell.
Let’s talk about the CleanHub
This is another standout feature of the DEEBOT T30S. By combining a robotic vacuum base with a handheld cleaner, this brilliant combination allows you to have both a robot vacuum and a handheld vacuum together. Honestly, this is next level if you think about it.
The DEEBOT and handheld vacuum accessory integrate for automatic two-way dust collection into the combo station, and each time your robot or handheld vac are attached, dust from both devices is rapidly cleared within 10 seconds. You only have to empty the main dust bin once every 60 days!
Advanced Mapping and Nav
The T30S boasts superior mapping and navigation capabilities versus previous models I have tested, thanks to the use of advanced LiDAR sensors and AI-driven algos. There is a TrueMapping 2.0 system that allows these robot vacuums to accurately map your home, even in low-light conditions. With a combination of precision mapping and real-time object detection, the vacuum ensures optimized cleaning routes, and reduces the chances of collisions or missed spots.
Maintenance and Support
Maintaining the DEEBOT T30S is relatively straightforward, thanks to the fact that the device is self-cleaning. Also the app provides step-by-step guidance for maintenance, such as replacing the devuce’s filters, cleaning brushes, or emptying the dustbin. And, the combo station also alerts you when it’s time to refill the water tank or replace the dust bag making it very convenient.
Should you allow a robot to vacuum and mop your home?
The DEEBOT T30S represents a big leap forward in the world of robot vacuums from my perspective. With advanced features, super smart integration, and all-in-one design, this model sets a new standard for convenience, efficiency, and innovation in this arena.
While the price point may be higher than some traditional vacuum cleaners, the time and effort you’ll save with the DEEBOT T30S should more than justify the investment.
