Let it never be said that Apple doesn’t listen to its customers. Just two weeks after Apple’s iOS 10.2 beta 1 update killed the beloved “peach butt” emoji in favor of something more realistic, iOS 10.2 beta 3 is here, along with a newly naughty fruit.

So why the sudden change of heart? It’s hard to say. Perhaps the peach from beta 1 was just a temporary placeholder while the original got its dramatic retouching, or maybe Apple did a sext focus group and found that the new version just wasn’t titillating enough.
The world may never know why, but it’s safe to say that countless dirty conversations have forever been rescued from the pitfalls of a peach that just wasn’t sexy enough. Bravo, Apple. Bravo.
