Time Warner Cable out-Comcasts Comcast, calls customer a ‘c**t’ in letter

Why Is Time Warner Cable So Bad

Time Warner Cable has been jealously watching Comcast soak up all the bad press and now it’s doing something about it. Ars Technica reports that Time Warner Cable customer Esperanza Martinez was horrified when she received a letter from TWC recently in which the company referred to her as “C**t Martinez.”

Ars says that Martinez received the letter after she called to complain about a problem with her cable box. Martinez tells Ars that she never threatened to cancel her service or got angry with the TWC representatives she spoke with, however, which is why she was so surprised to receive a letter from TWC that asked her to reconsider cancelling her service.

“Dear C**t Martinez,” the letter begins. “We know you recently decided to cancel your services, but we are working on improvements to deliver better service every day. To prove it, we want to offer you a chance to have a better experience while enjoying savings on the services you need.”

Of course, any chance this letter would have had at convincing someone to reconsider cancelling their service probably ended the minute TWC referred to them as a “c**t” in the first line.

TWC says it has apologized to Martinez personally and we’ll assume that the company didn’t begin its phone conversation with her by saying, “Hello, am I speaking with C**t?”
