Jawbone on Thursday unveiled brand new fitness trackers meant to better compete against some of the upcoming hot wearable devices, including an even smarter high-end band but also a new affordable model.

The Jawbone UP4 comes with an unusual feature for a fitness band, and that’s wireless payments. The tracker lets you register your American Express cards and pay for goods at merchants that support wireless payments. Other cards aren’t supported at this time.
The band includes an NFC chip to handle mobile payments, and cards can be set up with help of a mobile app installed on a smartphone. Even though UP4 seems to go after the Apple Watch with this new feature, it’s still just a fitness band, lacking an actual display. Thus, verifying transactions might not be as easy on the UP4, as it’ll be on a smartwatch
The new UP4 costs $199, and will be available to buyers at some point this summer.
Meanwhile, users looking for a more affordable fitness tracker can always purchase the brand new UP2 that costs just $99, which is available right away.
The new health band will let you keep track of your fitness activities, log sleep and meals, and integrate all the gathered data with Jawbone’s Smart Coach app.
