Even though the iPhone 7 will not be unveiled for at least seven more months, more and more rumors about its design and features emerge every day. Some of them are more believable while others are rather on the iffy side. Such is the case with a sketchy report from Asia that proposes some wild features for the iPhone 7, including a purported design render.

According to Business Korea, which picked up a report from Sina.com via Chinese site MyDrivers, the iPhone 7 might feature a ceramic back rather than metal. The device would ditch the ugly antenna bands on the rear, which is something a recent report suggested a few days ago.

The rendered image above says the phone will have a Super AMOLED screen with better 3D Touch functionality and faster Touch ID home button. The device would be waterproof, pack a 12-megapixel camera and an A10 processor. Other features include a “new metal frame,” and a Lightning port with Quick Charge support. The phone would also lack a headphone jack, according to this rumor.

It’s highly unlikely the new iPhone will feature a Super AMOLED display, a type of screen that is only expected in 2018 iPhones at the earliest. Furthermore, the ceramic back claim seems rather dubious.

As for that “new metal frame” claim, a report from Digitimes says that metal-alloy chassis demand will grow in the coming three to five years, even though iPhone shipments might slip in 2016. The tech site says that many chassis makers have been looking to use other materials, but the switch may take at least three years of R&D before actual deployment.

Apple releases its new iPhones in mid-September, and that’s when the iPhone 7 series is expected. Until then, an iPhone 5se is supposed to launch in March.
