Google on Monday pushed Android 5.0 Lollipop source code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), and while that alone might be interesting news for Android fans and developers, it doesn’t mean you should get too excited just yet, as the Search giant is yet to roll out the first Lollipop builds for supported Nexus devices.

However, as Android Police reports, Google has uploaded to AOSP “every line of code, every resource and ever config file,” which means curious people can dig through it to see what Google has been working on.
Google also added device repositories for the Nexus 6, the Nexus 9, the Nexus Player and the ADT-1 Android TV.
Furthermore, Google posted on the Android Building Google Group updates to the documentation for building Android 5.0 from AOSP, with information detailing the various changes in Android 5.0.
It’s not clear at this time when Google will release Android 5.0 for the Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and Google Play Edition devices, but a recent report said the first Lollipop builds will be rolled out to Wi-Fi versions of Nexus tablets, followed by a Lollipop release for Nexus devices with cellular connectivity, including smartphones and LTE tablets.
