We just got a first hand report that Verizon is setting up a BlackBerry Storm challenge in San Francisco. Here is the deal… in Justin Hermann Plaza in downtown San Francisco, Verizon has setup what you see above. It’s a BlackBerry Storm challenge station consisting of a giant plastic box that shoots air from the bottom to create a whirlwind of Verizon business cards. Contestants step inside and if they can pluck at least seven black BlackBerry Storm cards out of the chaos in the allotted time, they get a free Storm. There’s 100 of them being given out but unfortunately winners won’t get their hands on them until the official release. We’re also told Verizon is taking this challenge on the road to other cities across the US soon. Hit the jump for larger pics!

Thanks, Kenneth!
