Seinfeld fans have probably found ways to stream the popular sitcom, though it’s likely many of them weren’t exactly legal. However, that’s about to change, as you can now stream authorized copies of each of Seinfeld’s 180 episodes online.

The catch, of course, is that you’re not getting it free of charge – well you do get five episodes for free – and you’ll have to get a Hulu subscription to access all of Seinfeld’s crazy adventures.

Unlike most TV shows that are available free of charge on Hulu, access to Seinfeld will require a monthly subscription of $8 per month (previously known as Hulu Plus), which is probably worth it considering since it will unlock all other programming that’s behind the paywall.

“We think it’s a one-of-a-kind property,” Hulu CEO Mike Hopkins told CNNMoney. “There aren’t too many shows that have a puffy shirt in the Smithsonian, for example. We believe that we’re going to be able to introduce ‘Seinfeld’ to a whole new young audience that’s here at Hulu,” Hopkins added. “We also think that Seinfeld will help us attract a new audience to Hulu.”

Hopkins also revealed that Hulu won an aggressive bidding war for the exclusive rights to stream all Seinfeld episodes, reportedly paying more than $150 million for the rights.
