Rumors of a drastically different camera for the next-generation iPhone have been swirling around for months, but as more and more reports point to the same information, it becomes increasingly difficult to brush them aside.

In other words, if you think the iPhone 7 Plus should feature a dual-lens camera, you might be in luck.

On Tuesday, DigiTimes published a new report claiming that Taiwan-based Largan Technology along with other China- and Japan-based camera lens makers have sent dual-lens camera samples to Apple for testing.

Sources from the upstream supply chain also note that Largan currently supplies up to 60% of Apple’s cameras, so in order to lower the risks of implementing a dual-lens camera, the company is looking to include other suppliers as well.

DigiTimes reports are notoriously hit-or-miss, but the fact that this report has arrived just days after KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo sent a note to investors regarding a potential dual-lens camera for the iPhone 7 Plus lends it some credence.

According to Kuo, the dual-lens camera will be reserved for a special model of the iPhone 7 Plus, while a second model will feature the standard iSight camera. That way, fans of the larger displays won’t be forced to experiment with the new dual-camera setup.
