LG and Samsung will soon unveil the first Android flagships of the year, the LG G6 and the Galaxy S8. The LG G6 will launch next week at MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain, while the Galaxy S8 is tipped to debut in late March during an upcoming Unpacked event. We already know what to expect from these two upcoming Android handsets, but the following pictures might give us our best look at both devices, considering the source.

Well-known gadget leaker Evan Blass posted an images Twitter that show both the Galaxy S8 and the LG G6 in what appear to be marketing renders for accessories. In fact, Blass mentions that “it’s never too early to start shopping for cases for your next phone(s),” suggesting the images are credible.

The Galaxy S8 features a curved display that takes up most of the front side. There’s no home button on the bottom bezel, while the top bezel houses various sensors, the selfie camera, and the iris scanner that debuted with the Galaxy Note 7. On the side, there’s a notable button addition, which will reportedly be used to invoke Bixby, Samsung’s next-gen virtual assistant — that’s also something Blass mentioned in follow-up tweets.

On the back, we have a strange fingerprint sensor placement, which sits on the right side of a rear-facing camera that is now destined to be constantly smudged with fingerprints. On the bottom side, what looks like a 3.5mm headphone jack can be seen.

The LG G6, meanwhile, is somewhat similar to the Galaxy S8 in terms of design. We have a large display and no buttons on the front side, which is actually an iconic design feature for flagship LG devices. The fingerprint sensor is also located on the back just like the S8, but this one sits beneath a dual-lens camera. A 3.5mm headphone jack seems to be present in the top right corner.

The images may be accurate, but there’s at least one thing that’s probably not right. The display on the G6 pictured above has square corners, but we expect all corners to be round, according to previous leaks.
