Should we be concerned about the Galaxy S7’s battery life when it launches in the coming months or did Samsung come up with ways to further improve its battery technology? Unofficial reports claimed that the upcoming iPhone 6s rival will have a bigger battery than the Galaxy S6, but Samsung is far from actually confirming anything at this point.

However, a new rumor suggests the Galaxy S7 will have spectacular battery life.

According to a tweet from Russian mobile blogger Eldar Murtazin, who has often leaked accurate information about various unreleased smartphones in the past, the Galaxy S7 will be able to play video for more than 17 hours straight with the screen set at full brightness without running out of juice. If accurate, that’s certainly impressive and should come in handy while binge-watching Netflix.

The blogger did not share more details about the handset at this time but seemed to indicate in following responses on Twitter that the phone’s battery will not have a 3,500 mAh battery, but that it’ll be “somewhere there.”

Existing rumors say the Galaxy S7 will have a 3,000 mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 edge should pack a slightly bigger 3,500 mAh battery. Comparatively, last year’s Galaxy S6 has a 2,550 mAh battery that’s can’t be swapped by the user. The Galaxy S6 Active does have a bigger 3,500 mAh battery that lasts for 10-11 hours of streaming Netflix, according to SamMobile.
