Any burning questions you’ve ever had about the upgrade path for the XPERIA X10 family of products can now be put to rest, as Sony Ericsson has finally gone public with its intentions. As of Q4 2010, all three phones — the X10, X10 mini and X10 mini Pro — will be upgraded to Android 2.1 aka “Eclair”. Not only that, but after the update, the X10’s 8.1 megapixel camera will be able to record videos in HD. Throw in enhancements to the Timescape and Mediascape applications, as well as DLNA, support and you’d almost think Sony Ericsson genuinely believes it’s going to win over the hearts and minds of Android lovers by updating what will then be a year-old product that doesn’t even support multi-touch.
