Hot on the heels of Motorola’s XOOM announcement, T-Mobile and LG have let go a tablet announcement of their own. The two companies issued a joint press release introducing the G-Slate with Google; a tablet of an undisclosed screen size running Android 3.0. The press release links to a very familiar video and is pretty light on specifics. From what we can gather, the device will have an HSPA+ radio (making it 4G according to T-Mobile’s standards) and will be available in the “coming months.” That’s pretty much all we’re given except for the closing line: “additional product details will be disclosed at a later date.” Regardless, the video and press release are waiting for you after the bounce. The Honeycomb user experience improves on Android favorites such as widgets, multi-tasking, browsing, notifications and customization. It will also feature the latest Google Mobile innovations including Google Maps™ 5.0 with 3D interaction, collection of more than 3 million eBooks and Google Talk™ with video and voice chat.
