Samsung Galaxy S6 Rumor

The Galaxy S5 has been one of the year’s biggest disappointments and Samsung clearly knows it has to shake some things up to recapture the magic it had with the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy S4. SamMobile reports that Samsung’s next flagship phone won’t just be an upgrade in specs like the Galaxy S5 was from the Galaxy S4, but will rather be designed “from scratch” as the company has gone “back to the drawing board” for the new phone.

Interestingly, SamMobile also says that the Galaxy S6 will be accompanied by another device called the Galaxy S6 Edge, which will feature the same kind of curved display as the one we saw this fall with the launch of the Galaxy Note Edge. Although we personally found the Note Edge’s curved display to be of questionable utility, Samsung must think that the device is the start of something much bigger if SamMobile’s report is correct.

SamMobile says that the Galaxy S6 is tentatively set to have a display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, either a 64-bit Exynos 7420 or Snapdragon 810 processor and a rear-facing camera with a resolution anywhere between 16 and 20 megapixels.
