Nokia (NOK) and Microsoft (MSFT) on Wednesday delivered invitations to the media for a press conference scheduled to take place on September 5th in New York City. The event will focus on Nokia’s Lumia Windows Phone lineup, though no additional details were provided. The companies are expected to unveil at least one Windows Phone 8 Lumia handset, and the date corresponds with an earlier report from Bloomberg suggesting that Nokia would announce its first Windows Phone 8 device during the first day of the annual Nokia World conference. Nokia’s first Windows Phone 8 device is expected to look much like the Lumia 800 and Lumia 900, though it will likely feature a larger display and a faster processor.
