When Google updated the Nexus 6 listing on the Play store this week to assure consumers that more inventory was on its way, we assumed that many of the slighted early adopters who missed out on the initial batch would have their chance to pick one up on Wednesday. Unfortunately, unless you just happened to refresh the page at the perfect moment, you probably missed this week’s inventory.

It’s only a rough estimate, but based on the timestamps of a dozen or so Reddit threads on the Nexus 6 subreddit, whatever inventory Google had available sold out in about a minute. If you didn’t think it could get any worse than it was launch, Google just proved you wrong.
If Google’s Nexus 6 inventory really is this infinitesimal, it’s going to be next to impossible to get your hands on one before the holidays, no matter how many 30-second inventory updates there are.
