So far Netflix has made its name with hit original shows such as Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Daredevil and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. However, Netflix’s ambitions are now moving into the realm of feature films as well and it’s just announced its full release calendar for its first four original movies.
The first movie will be Beasts of No Nation, a film directed by Cary Fukunaga of True Detective fame that will star Idris Elba and will release on Friday, October 16th. Following that, Netflix will release The Ridiculous Six, the first of four movies it has planned that star Adam Sandler, on Friday, December 11th.
Moving ahead to next year, the martial arts film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend will be released sometime in the first quarter of 2016. And finally, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, the comeback movie for Paul Reubens’ beloved character from the 1980s, will release in March 2016.
