Video: Meet the high-end iWatch concept that Apple will never make

iWatch Concept iOS 8

Two designers have imagined what Apple’s iWatch may look like while also providing details about the kind of specs the device would pack and how it would be built. Mark Bell and Ran Avni from Belm Designs have created their vision of the iWatch for a design contest in which they were asked to conceive future products from some of today’s tech-giants.

The designers chose a traditional circular shape for the iWatch that doesn’t feature a flexible display. Instead, it has a circular Retina touchscreen with HD resolution. Furthermore, the watch is “constructed with a uni-body design,” from a single titanium disk that’s pressed into shaped and then “CNC milled to perfection.” The iWatch also has chamfered edges and a mix of titanium and chrome accents.

The watchband is created from a stretchable rubber-nylon mix with micro perforations for maximum breathability, while being strong and lightweight, and the device features a “Mag-Twist Lock” clasp for easy removal.

When it comes to features, the device is said to have 4G LTE and Bluetooth support and a dual-core processor for “multitasking operations,” and iOS 8.

However, this is just a concept, and has nothing to do with the actual iWatch that Apple is expected to unveil later this year. Current reports say the gadget will have a flexible display, a variety of health- and fitness-related sensors, and maybe even some interesting battery-related technologies.
