iPhone 5 housing shown off on video as release nears [video]

Apple’s (AAPL) sixth iPhone will reportedly be announced on September 12th alongside the new “iPad mini,” and with a launch rumored to follow a week later, leaks are beginning to reach critical mass. We’ve seen what is rumored to be the housing from the next-generation iPhone examined a number of times in the past, and now a new video has been published by Japanese Apple blog Macotakara, which has a solid track record with details surrounding unannounced Apple products. The “iPhone 5” housing in this new video matches the one pictured in an earlier video, and this time it is joined by a face plate showing space the new iPhone’s larger 4-inch display. Photos of a fully assembled iPhone 5 were published on Sunday, and the smartphone is expected to launch on September 21st. Macotakara’s video follows below.
