Apple on Thursday unveiled the new iPad Air 2 and it seems that the leaked specs we saw were spot-on, including the inclusion of the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, a gold color option, a stronger A8X processor, improved camera optics, and iOS 8.1.

The iPad Air 2 will be available to customers for preorder on Apple’s website October 17th. It will go on sale next week and will be priced at $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 64GB model and $699 for the $128 GB model with your choice of finishes including gold, silver and space gray.
