HTC (2498) saw a much-needed boost from holiday sales in November, but the sequential increase wasn’t substantial enough to stop the firm’s continued decline in 2012. The Taiwan-based smartphone vendor announced on Thursday that sales for the month of November totaled NT$21.23 billion, equal to roughly $732 million. The typical seasonal boost ahead of the holidays pushed revenue up 23% from NT$17.2 billion in October but sales were off more than 31% compared to November 2011, the month after HTC’s record revenue run came to an abrupt end. HTC’s total unaudited consolidated sales from January through November 2012 total NT$267.5 billion, equal to just over $9.2 billion.
