Results from countless studies have reiterated what we already know: Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are stealing away tons of business from Android. Now that there are finally iPhones with larger displays, many old iOS users who jumped ship to Android for bigger phones are now making their way back to the iPhone. Smartphone users who have always been in the Android camp are also starting to consider an Apple phone now that 4.7- and 5.5-inch iPhones are available.

But are mobile platform switchers heading in the other direction as well? The results of a new survey conducted between April 10th and early June suggest that while plenty of Android users are moving over to iOS, there are also a significant number of iPhone users who have been wooed away by Samsung’s latest flagship phone.

According to a new study conducted jointly by used smartphone buying sites CompareMyMobile UK and GadgetValuer USA, iPhone users are ditching their older smartphones and switching to the Galaxy S6 at a surprisingly high rate.

In a poll of more than 500 customers who traded in their old phones and planned to upgrade to the Galaxy S6, more than half (55.17%) were trading in an older Samsung phone. That figure isn’t surprising at all — Samsung fans have been waiting for years for a flagship Samsung smartphone made of premium materials.

What is pretty shocking, though, is the fact that a whopping 40.69% of respondents planning to buy a new Galaxy S6 were trading in old iPhones.

Here are the five most commonly traded smartphones among users upgrading to the Galaxy S6:

  1. Samsung Galaxy S4
  2. Apple iPhone 5
  3. Samsung Galaxy S5
  4. Apple iPhone 5C
  5. Apple iPhone 5S

The sites’ poll still found that despite the surprisingly high number of switchers, the iPhone 6 was still the phone most people who use CompareMyMobile UK and GadgetValuer USA planned to purchase. 21.94% of those polled said they would buy an iPhone 6 while 18.50% planned to purchase a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge.
