Samsung has managed to make quite a name for itself over the years — in more ways than one. The company practically came from out of nowhere and skyrocketed to the top of the smartphone market in just a few short years, quickly becoming the No. 1 vendor in the world by shipment volume. Of course, the company borrowed a lot from Apple along the way, and it made a reputation for itself as a copycat as a result.

Companies borrow from each other all the time, of course, but Samsung was probably a bit more blatant about it than it should have been — see this secret 132-page guide to copying the iPhone that Samsung made back in 2010 for an example.

And now, it looks like Samsung might be back to its old tricks with the upcoming new Galaxy S6.

DON’T MISS: Here’s why you probably shouldn’t buy the Galaxy S6 when it launches

Samsung rose to the top of the global smartphone market thanks in part to an early rejiggering of its devices based at least in part on Apple’s iPhone. When the company finally began to move away from mirroring certain aspects of Apple’s products, Samsung fell. Hard.

Leaks and rumors leading up to Sunday’s unveiling of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge suggest that Samsung may be going back to what it does best in 2015. The Galaxy S6 is shaping up to be some sort of mashup between the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6, with an all metal and glass housing that takes cues from both Apple phones.

Now that photos of the handset have really started to leak, we can begin to issue our judgements.

By all accounts, the latest round of Galaxy S6 photo leaks are authentic. Nothing is set in stone until Samsung makes it official, of course, but well-placed sources suggest this recent photo leak indeed shows actual handset.

So, is it an iPhone clone?

We’ll likely spend plenty of time trying to answer that question in the coming days, but a new comparison photo could certainly help tip the scales.

The photo was posted on Twitter by Nowwhereelse editor Steve Hemmerstoffer, and it includes a leaked image of the bottom of a supposed Galaxy S6 that was published on Thursday on the XDA Developers forum. Hemmerstoffer then placed a photo of the bottom of an iPhone 6 next to the image.

You be the judge:

Samsung will unveil the new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones during a press conference on Sunday, and BGR will be on hand reporting live.

According to our trusted sources, the phones will feature a quad HD Super AMOLED display, a 64-bit octa-core processor, a case made entirely of metal and glass, as much as 128GB of internal storage, a new mobile payment system based on LoopPay, and Android Lollipop.
