Bell has yet to decide on 3-year price of the Storm but sets non-contract price of $699.95

Today the $249.99 Christmas promotional pricing of the Telus Storm was sent into every major tech blog on the net from the same source — that’s why we didn’t bother to post it, in case you’re wondering– which left a lot of people wondering what Bell was up to in terms of pricing. Well, our favorite Bell ninja wrote in and told us the scoop. It turns out that Bell isn’t going to compete with Telus on the non-contract price as their Storm will sell for $50 more at $699.95. In terms of 3-year pricing, that’s where this whole thing gets a little weird. You see, Bell desperately wants to be competitive with Telus to the point where there is a bit of in-fighting about what the final price will be. It’s led Bell to order Point of Purchase cards (P.O.P.) printed up for $199.99, $249.99, and $299.99. We’d love to see Bell opt for $199 and really stick it to Telus, but that’d be an awful lot to ask of a company that is struggling to find new ownership. But then again, Bell has recently been quite agressive in targeting Telus even selling the HTC Touch Diamond and Touch Pro for $99.95 and $239.95 while Telus the new Rogers asks for $249.99 and $299.99 respectively. Yeah, we just went there.
