Apple iWatch Production Problems

If you thought the production woes of the Retina-equipped iPad mini were bad, you haven’t seen anything yet. The Information has a new report out detailing some of the many woes that Apple has faced when trying to mass produce its first-ever smartwatch and it sounds like the company is still experiencing major headaches with the device. Among other things, The Information says Apple has had problems with both the iWatch’s screen and battery while also noting that Apple actually lost its hardware director who was overseeing the project. The good news, it seems, is that none of these production problems mean that the device’s release will be delayed past its current projected date of late 2014. That said, if the history of the Retina-equipped iPad is any guide, it wouldn’t be surprising to see supplies significantly constrained during the launch period.
