The next seasons of Game of Thrones is almost here, and after months of debating Jon Snow’s fate we seem to have some conclusive news about one of our favorite characters in HBO’s hit TV series. A new Game of Thrones trailer was just released, but you can’t see it yet. Some members of the press at SXSW in Austin have already been given a sneak peek though, and you’ll definitely want to know what they had to say.

DON’T MISS: Yup, it looks like the iPhone 7 is going to be huge

Shown behind closed doors at HBO’s booth, the screening of the exclusive Game of Thrones trailer offers us a hint that Jon Snow will indeed return from the dead in season 6.

According to Business Insider, media members were instructed not to record the clip, which was played with the help of what sounds like an awesome levitating 3D holoplayer that made the video appear to float above the flames (see the following image).

But the tech used to screen this secret trailer is less important than what it showed us. In the clip, Melisandre appears, the priestess we expect to bring Jon Snow back from the dead, considering that she’s right there when he dies.

“I saw him in the flames, fighting at Winterfell,” she says, and then an image showing Jon Snow’s body flashes on the screen.

Unless HBO was trolling the audience at SXSW, we fully expect Melisandre to perform her magic and revive Jon Snow in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones.

It’s not clear whether HBO will release this exclusive trailer to the public in the next few days, but the mystery will likely be over soon after season 6’s April premiere.
