The Galaxy S8 is shaping up to be the hottest new Android phone of the beginning of the year. Samsung is expected to unveil it either at MWC in late February, or during a special Unpacked event held in late March. Whatever the case, various reports say you’ll find it in stores only in mid-April.

But if there’s one indication we’re getting closer and closer to the Galaxy S8’s launch, it’s the increased number of image leaks that we’re getting. After seeing a dubious prototype image and a first Galaxy S8 case leak in the past few days, it’s now time to look at a brand new leak. And this one seems to indicate the standard 3.5mm headphone jack is very much in the picture.

Various Galaxy S8 rumors said the phone will not have a traditional headphone jack and rely on USB-C for audio. Furthermore, Samsung is rumored to develop its own Apple’s AirPods alternative, a new pair of wireless headphones made specifically for the Galaxy S8.

But a new set of images that depict a purported Galaxy S8 case seems to indicate that the phone will have a 3.5mm port. Found on Slashleaks by SamMobile, the leak also suggests the Galaxy S9 will have a USB-C port that will be placed in the bottom right corner, while a speaker should sit in the opposite corner.

Cutouts for the camera and flash are present on the back, and the case also features buttons for three buttons on the left side of the phone, including the volume keys and the standby button.

This new render matches the Galaxy S8 case render BGR exclusively obtained, when it comes to side buttons and camera placement. The Ghostek leak from the other day did not show the bottom of the phone where the ports are found, which makes it impossible to determine whether these two distinct leaks are a perfect match.

At the same time, we’ll remind you these are still unverified leaks. While accessory makers may have access to inside information regarding the upcoming Galaxy S8 design, we still have to wait for Samsung to confirm everything.
