One of the most highly-anticipated games of the year isn’t a new game at all. In fact, you can’t even buy it on its own. I’m of course talking about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, the pack-in bonus that comes with every Legacy Editions and Digital Deluxe edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
We’ve seen screenshots and heard about how much good it looks, but on Friday, Activision finally shared some extended gameplay footage.

Here’s one of the game’s opening missions, Crew Expendable, remastered:
It might not be able to stand up against Infinite Warfare, but Modern Warfare Remastered really does look like an entirely new game. This is more than just an upscaled version of the original game — it’s a true remaster.
Along with the full campaign, Modern Warfare Remastered also comes with 10 multiplayer maps from the original game, all of which have been remastered as well. The multiplayer features the same progression system that was made famous in the original Call of Duty 4, and has gone on to define the genre.
This is still insane to me, but the only way to get your hands on Modern Warfare Remastered is to purchase one of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare special editions, which will be available in stores and online on November 4th.
