The holidays can be a great time to catch up with family and friends, exchange gifts, and remind yourself how great life is. It can also be a stressful mess of errands, debt, and a reminder of why you don’t associate with those people the other 364 days of the year. If you’re feeling a bit more like the latter, watching this cheerful Swedish guy blow a Christmas tree into a million tiny smoking pieces is a two-minute vacation you should take right now.

Swedish Dynamite is a YouTuber who, as you might have expected given his name, blows things up. He’s blown up snowmobiles, computers, and even an entire living room with dynamite, but today he sets his sights on an evergreen, tastefully decked out with all the holiday bells and whistles. But tinsel and ornaments can’t protect the poor little tree from the wrath of Swedish Dynamite’s detonating cord, which makes short work of the whole thing.

Detonating cord is a flexible tube-like explosive that is used for a variety of applications, such as bringing down large structures with control demolition. Typically, the cord is wrapped around massive reinforced concrete pillars, which are then torn apart like tissue paper. So, as you can imagine, the pint-sized conifer has very little chance at making it out alive. Once the dust settles and the smoke clears, the only thing left is a smoking hole in the ground and a distinct lack of underbrush. Perhaps it’s a good thing that not everyone has the means to relieve their holiday stress in such a destructive way.
