Samsung seems to think that it’s done enough to make up for the phablet battery problems. It issued two recalls, and it offered consumers in various markets many incentives to turn in their Galaxy Note 7. What more do you want?

Some 2,400 people in South Korea who bought the phone this year filed a class action suit asking Samsung for 500,000 won in compensation for each participant.

According to ZDNet, the consumers said they were forced to visit stores at least four times to deal with the Galaxy Note 7 recall and replacement programs.

Samsung replied with a countersuit of its own, saying that it’s not obligated to compensate consumers beyond what it already offered them. The South Korean giant said it already offered the maximum compensation and benefits possible to those affected, and that it took nearly 10 trillion won in losses to refund the handset.

Samsung also claims that should the court offer additional compensation to the 2,400 former Galaxy Note 7 owners, it would set a negative precedent that would negatively affect, “voluntary, preventive, and active recalls.”

Samsung is yet to explain what went wrong with the Galaxy Note 7 batteries, but the company should reveal the results of its investigations by the end of the year.
