Disney

last week revealed a brand new trailer for Rogue One, it’s first Star Wars spin-off movie. The action-packed clip also brought us definitive proof that Darth Vader is back in this Star Wars episode. But for some reason, Disney made a slightly different international trailer for the movie, and it adds one crucial detail about the plot of the film. You should really avoid it if you don’t want any spoilers, though it might come up in future trailers so ultimately it probably won’t matter.

So what’s the hot new information in the trailer? It’s a blink-and-you-miss-it type of thing, but a major detail for the movie because it tells us how the Rebels found out about the Death Star.

It appears that the father of Jyn Erso is the one who gets the message across – of course, there’s some sort of family relationship that we need to be aware of in the new Star Wars movie. Jyn Erso is the heroine in Rogue One, played by Felicity Jones. Mads Mikkelsen plays Galen Erso, her father.

It’s unclear at this time why Galen chose to notify the Rebels about this incredible weapon the Empire is building, or why it’s important to Jyn. Is Galen a good or bad guy? We’ll just have to wait and see.

The international Rogue One trailer follows below. The movie is set to premiere on December 16th.
