Every pay TV provider offers free previews of premium channels from time to time. After all, they’re a great way to give subscribers a taste of the channel bundles they’re missing if they don’t already subscribe to packages like HBO, Showtime and Cinemax. But it seems like the free preview periods are almost always over by the time you realize they’re available. Great, so now you’ve seen three episodes in the middle of the last season of Game of Thrones… now what?

It turns out there’s a better way to preview premium channel bundles and Verizon just made it available to its FiOS TV subscribers.

UP NEXT: New app wants to make it so you never have to deal with customer service – and it’s free

“This week, we’re launching Free View on Fios TV, an exclusive new feature that lets customers activate their own 48 hour premium channel preview right from their TV,” Verizon wrote in a post on its FiOS blog. “With the click of the remote, Customers can choose which channel they want to preview for free, whenever they want the 48 hour window to start. The Free View content is viewable anywhere whether it’s at home on live TV or on demand, or on the go with the Fios Mobile App.”

Long story short, if you know you have a nice slow weekend coming up and you want to binge watch Game of Thrones from start to finish, you can activate your HBO preview with a few simple button presses. Then, during the preview period, you can access all of the channels included in the HBO bundle as well as all the on demand content you can handle.

Free premium channel previews last for 48 hours and they can be activated once per year for each of the five available premium channel bundles: HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz and Epix.
