As Digital Trends reports, Netflix partnered up with DreamWorks to develop special five-minute Dinotrux episodes that you can use to trick your kids into going to bed early. The idea here is that parents can promise “one more show” before bedtime and kids will be able to watch a show that lasts just five minutes. Now, admittedly, your kid might soon realize what’s going on, but if the trick works, then this might free your evening for your own Netflix binging sessions.

Netflix actually conducted a poll with the help of Ipsos Public Affairs that sampled over 7,000 parents across seven countries. The poll found that 61% of the parents surveyed complained about having to deal with creative bedtime stalling techniques, with parents having to spend more than 20 minutes negotiating their children’s surrender. Interestingly, 42% percent of kids use the “just five more minutes” tactic to avoid sleep.

Whether this is a sound long-term strategy for making your kids go to sleep is open for debate, but anything is worth trying at least once!
