Apple drops the price of Apple TV to $69 to celebrate 25 million sales

We’re just a few minutes into Apple’s spring event, and surprisingly, the conversation didn’t jump straight to the Apple Watch. Instead, we learned about Apple’s exclusive partnership with HBO for the launch of the upcoming streaming service, HBO NOW. But that’s wasn’t the only TV news Apple had on Monday.

Apple unveiled on Monday that the Apple TV is dropping in price to $69.

This new discount is in celebration of 25 million lifetime unit sales for the popular media device. Apple didn’t have any new models to announce, but with HBO NOW on the way, it’s clear that this is a product category Apple plans to continue supporting in the future.
