iOS users in Europe have recently been given a special iTunes refund feature that lets them easily get their money back for any type of digital content purchased from Apple’s stores as long as the claim is made within 14 days after purchase.

The system is certainly good for those people who feel they made an inappropriate purchase, though it can also be somewhat gamed by users, as some people discovered they can get refund purchases while still retaining access to the downloaded goods. Apple customers in Europe looking to get a refund on apps, and anything else, should check Phone Arena’s handy tutorial on this particular new iTunes feature.

In order to get a refund, iTunes users should make sure they have the latest iTunes version installed on their Windows and/or Mac computer, log in and then head to the View Account section. Once there, they’ll have to access Purchase History’s See All option to get a list of recently purchased items from the App Store grouped by date.

As soon as the user finds the app they want refunded, all he or she has to do is click on the arrow next to the date that shows when the app was purchased, at which point iTunes will show a page with all purchases made on that date. Clicking on the Report a Problem option next to the app in question will send the user to the default Internet browser on the computer, where the Apple ID credentials have to be entered again on an Apple online page.

Once that’s done, the user must specify the app they want a refund for and describe why they want a refund before submitting the form.
