Apple (AAPL) will reportedly expand its distribution in the United States when nationwide office supply chain Staples (SPLS) begins selling Apple products in the near future. While neither company has confirmed the deal at this point, several Staples employees have taken to Twitter to announce that Apple devices will soon become available in Staples stores. “After Canada, Apple products are coming to Staples in US,” wrote Staples SVP of Global Human Resources Regis Mulot in a Tweet that has since been deleted. “Great news!” Field Services Manager Mike Goggin followed with a tweet that was still published on Twitter at the time of this writing. “Staples just finalized a deal to begin selling Apple products,” Goggin said. It is unclear exactly which ranges of Apple devices will be sold in Staples stores.
