Trump calls for a boycott of Apple, still tweets from an iPhone

Apple Vs FBI Trump Boycott

Just one day after taking on the pope, doughy presidential candidate Donald Trump has attacked yet another institution that inspires religious devotion from its followers: Apple. Per Reuters, Trump said at a rally in South Carolina on Friday that Americans should “boycott Apple” until the company agrees to help the FBI unlock the iPhone used by one of the terrorists in last year’s San Bernardino massacre.

Earlier this week, Trump ripped Apple for refusing to comply with a court order mandating that it create software to disable its own passcode security protocols.

“To think that Apple won’t allow us to get into her cellphone? Who do they think they are? No, we have to open it,” Trump told Fox and Friends on Wednesday. “I agree 100% with the courts. In that case, we should open it up. I think security overall — we have to open it up. And we have to use our heads. We have to use common sense. Somebody the other day called me a ‘common-sense conservative.’ We have to use common sense. Our country has so many problems.”

From this perspective, it’s not surprising that Trump has called for a full boycott of Apple devices. However, as 9to5Mac notices, it seems that Trump even today was still tweeting from his iPhone as recently as two hours ago:

It seems that Trump is yet again completely full of shit about something. Who would have thought?
