Nokia C5-04 pictured, headed to T-Mobile

Exclusive

We know, we know β€” how can we possibly get excited about an upcoming Symbian smartphone from Nokia when the OS is currently sitting on death row awaiting execution? The answer, unfortunately, is that we can’t. Typical consumers likely won’t share the same sentiment, however β€” especially those looking for entry-level smartphones on the cheap. For the budget-conscious crowd that isn’t at all OS-conscious, we offer up your first look at the Nokia C5-04. Little is known about the upcoming c5-04, but the listing on the Bluetooth SIG site notes that it is headed to the North American market. Add to that the unmistakable presence of a T-Mobile logo on the face of the phone and it’s pretty safe to say it’s destined for T-Mobile USA. Specs are expected to be in line with the C5-03, which is anything but impressive but very affordable.

Thanks, Rajat

This is actually cool. My dad (who nears 70 years of age) loves Nokia Symbian devices. He hates all the new iPhone and Android offerings and swears by Nokia’s superior RF.

I thought the Nuron he uses was the end of the Symbian line but I guess I was wrong. I’ll probably snag this one for him since he is asking me for a new phone again.

Personally I’m more of the Galaxy S2 kind of guy but I can appreciate the fact that there should be a phone for every demographic… even cool old guys like my Pop!

Nokia hasn’t had superior reception for years. Motorola still does. Any Nokia fan will tell you that they slipped a long time ago.
