AT&T's holiday lineup leaked, Galaxy Tab, WP7, Torch and more

General

Engadget has been sent in a plethora of screen shots detailing what appears to be AT&T’s entire holiday lineup. The site details that the 7-inch, Android 2.2 Samsung Galaxy Tab will debut on Ma’ Bell and will be shipping “prior to December.” AT&T will also be offering the Samsung Cetus — a Windows Phone 7 device — along with three other WP7 devices in time for the holiday buying season. News of two new, mysterious devices dubbed the Samsung Focus and the HTC Surround was also reported. Lastly, AT&T will launch that BlackBerry Torch 9800 in both white and red in the not-to-distant future. Sound of AT&T faithful, what on this list excites you most?

Galaxy Tab, if carrier unlocked and contract free, FTW.

without sounding like a robot AT&T offers the most diverse product line hands down…..if you want options…you want big blue. They dont give a f**k about competing manufactures. They sell service

hopefully one day it wil be good service

    Very disappointed in this.

    Still no Pearl 3G.

That’s the phone I’m waiting on. What the flippin’ heck is AT&T’s problem?

Oh, and to the earlier poster about the cost of BIS, there is NO difference in cost for a BIS data plan than for any other data plan. My wife has an iPhone and her unlimited data is the same cost as my unlimited BIS for my 8100. So that argument is worthless

It will be here soon! dont you worry about that. And its not us at AT&T cause we would like to see it also, RIM can take all the credit for the long wait! :)

RIM is the hold up? Whatever for when they let the rest of the world have it.

At this point, I’d rather they update the thing with more ram, call it the 9180, and release it with OS 6.

you mean there 2gb plan…since they have no unlimited data plan anymore

      • Joeldf

Ours are existing plans when we both bought Pearl 8100s almost 4 years ago. So we get to keep the “unlimited” aspect of it. My wife has since switched to the iPhone but kept the data plan – just no longer a BIS based plan. Mine is still BIS because I’m keeping my old Pearl until the Pearl 3G finally comes to AT&T – hoping that the one drop (that still happens on occasion) isn’t THE drop that finally kills this poor thing.

Even under the new tiered plans, a tiered BlackBerry BIS data plan is still the same cost as a regular “smartphone” data plan.

Now, maybe the post I referred to meant the business BES plans. The BES data plan is more per month. And the server software is a lot more – but that’s not usually the end users concern or cost to bare. Although, an end user could elect to pay for a BES plan themselves, the Outlook Web Access that you get with the Exchange server usually is enough for normal BIS to work with. You don’t get all the same features (like calendar and contact syncing), but you at least can get your emails.

A Window Phone 7 and a Galaxy Tab Tablet (Android 3.0 should be ready by then).

When will BB upgrade the CPU to 1 ghz? Seems so easy. . . I for one will not buy a Torch until they do.

is the iphone antenna thing fixed finally ?
how come ipad don’t have sim slot, sd card slot, camera, video feature, 16:9 screen, phone feature, etc.. ? huh, why ? and why is it sooooo heavy huh ? why ? and why they want $800 for such device huh ? why ?

  • Aluni

iPhone works fine for most people. Otherwise it would not be sold out all the time!

iPad does have a SIm slot. It’s an unlocked device! An SD slot costs $30 if you need it.

The iPad has Netflix and many video sources formatted for it. You cam buy HD movies for it from iTunes. No other tablet comes remotely close to the iPad when it comes to native apps or video that you can watch on it.

16:9 as you well know isn’t the format that most major movies are shot in either – that would be 2.35:1 if I am not mistaken. most computer programs are also not 16:9 but 4:3. 16:9 is a TV widescreen format. So there isn’t a real advantage in a tablet unless you’re mainly going to watch widescreen TV shows on it!

iPhone is sold out all the time to keep demand up, not cause it’s the best.. It’s good marketing.
