where’s that mythical horizontal slider I keep dreaming about?

  • Rob

    Super apps huh? That’s…………..cute.

  • Charles Massey

Come on with some better hardware.

    • http://www.bgr.com NewsWorthy

My sentiments exactly! Can I get a Storm3 with some more lightning and thunder? What’s to keep me from dumping my Storm and getting an Incredible?

      • Charles Massey

At this point nothing….in fact I think I’ll be headed to my VZW store Thursday morning.

  • Jon

    WES 2010 = Blackberry product bomb…

  • K

    That’s it?

    • z

      That’s what I was wondering.

    • http://www.twitter.com/cauchon Justin Cauchon

It’s still going on, just isn’t updating for some reason.

      • z

        Ah, thank you

  • EM.

    Was that all?

  • anonymous-x

As long as Blackberry 6 gets to the 9650 I have no complaints. Thx for the info & keeping us live.

  • Randy

I guess they let the beat drop.

    • thedeadbaby

*pfftt* LMAO! Exactly what I was thinking.

  • MacMan

And where is the rest of it ?

  • Gag

I wonder why we haven’t seen a leak yet of the new Storm. Hardware wise, I’m not sure what they can do to impress me but BlackBerry 6 goes a long way to alleviate the reasons why I ditched my Bold 9000 over a year ago and switched to iPhone.

  • Anthony

please rim announce ur no longer gonna make crapberries and stop flooding the market with more garbage!

  • Champs

September 30 would work into “next calendar quarter,” so figure November.

    • http://www.bgr.com NewsWorthy

That would also play into the “New Storm Every November” thing they have going. Please Lord!!!

  • mudpud

Too little too late – same crappy Java based OS. Hello DROID Incredible on Thursday!!! Bye bye 9530 CrapBerry!

    • Badonkadonk

… You do realize Android runs Java apps, right? All of the Android UI is Java, and the JVM runs on top of Linux. It’s not substantially different from what RIM does. Apple and WM are the only mobile OSes that run native apps.

      • BLKB

No he doesn’t, obviously a total moron from what he wrote.

  • George

I can’t help but think to myself about how dead BlackBerry is. This entire show seems so late and out of place. It’s actually pretty pathetic.

    • agreed

Totally agree with you. Even the 6.0 sneak peak video looks like a soccer mom trying to be hip and failing terribly at it.

And by next quarter, we all know BB means 2011.

    • BLKB

      hehehe

it has never looked as good as IPhone but keeps outselling them…. doesn’t that just eat you up! LOLOLOLOL

  • Bob

The CEO looks like a hipster too,..

His look says it all, Sell all your shares NOW!

  • BeLogical

    any more updates? storm3?

  • http://www.google.com/profiles/Strodtbeck.C Charles

Was curious about the next gen blackberries. . . not as much anymore. . . Android is looking too good.

  • casper663

this was like Nintendo’s E3 of last year. total waste of time except for the 6.0OS.

  • roversii

I have been a fan of RIM for a long time. My first was a 900 (the FIRST clamshell) followed by a 950, 9630 and 8310. Now my contract with ATT is up and I’m trying to decide what is next: RIM, iPhone, Android??? I am sorry to say that it may not be RIM. My previous favorite “ex” (Palm) couldn’t have been hotter in its day, but look where a lack of timely innovation has brought it. While I still hope to see game-changing form factors and UIs from RIM, I feel they may have reached their peak and begun the long, painful slide into “Palm”-age.

This ad has a lot of fancy music, and special effects for sure, but go back and take a look at what is actually being shown about the OS. Don’t see too much earthshaking going on there. Only a new way of showing it. Give me one of those new 4.3″ screens on verizon, and then you might get me to leave my Storm 1 9530.

  • BLKB

So I’m looking for all this studff that is so good about the Droid Incredible. I go over to you tube and look at the promo video:

At 1:20 It says it can run more than one app at a time (BB has done that forever!)

At 1:30 it shows that you can get the weather on your phone.. Hmmm I have that.

At 1:41 it says the phone is high customizable (Read Themes… Hmm my BB has that)

    Still watching for something incredible….

At 2:00 You can go from a wrok Scene to a social seen with different Apps. Hmmm I’d call those folders with different Apps in them.

At 2:20 Puch notification from facebook. Got that (does iphone not have that or something)??

At 2:42 it has a radio .. yes that could be good, but I mainly listen to podcasts, still I’d say that is cool.

At 2:58 It has a camera 8MP that is good, I don’t take much pictures but that is good. My bb has a camera so good, but not incredibly good.

A 3:13 good browser. The browser on my BB suck but OS 6 fixes that.

3:34 Turn by turn navigation. I have that on my BB

3:47 weather updates based on GPS location. I have that on my BB.

    Hmm that’s it.

Sorry Guys I don’t see it. I guess you want a big screen or something.

Hey I don’t blame you go buy one but why the hell do you have to be so hostile. I don’t care and I’m sure RIM doesn’t give a F about people like you since they are selling more phone every month than Apple or HTC… consistently.

Is it that you know you are actually giving up a quality phone so you can have your toy?

  • hager-spider

    Talk about hostility!!!
