T-Mobile goes after Verizon subscribers with new Un-carrier promo

T-Mobile Verizon Offer

If you’re a Verizon Wireless subscriber, you clearly don’t mind paying a premium for the comfort of knowing your carrier offers coverage just about everywhere in the country you could possibly want to go. After all, Verizon customers’ average cell phone bills are higher than they are at any other carrier in the United States. But in the back of your mind, you know that rival carriers have much better coverage than they did a few years ago, and every now and then you wonder if you should switch and save some money.

T-Mobile hopes that it’s latest “Un-carrier” promotion, which is aimed exclusively at Verizon customers, is good enough to push you over the edge.

T-Mobile’s new promotion is not quite as flashy as the carrier’s previous offer aimed at AT&T subscribers, but we all know that AT&T holds a special place in T-Mobile CEO John Legere’s heart. While last week’s promo offered switchers from AT&T a 128GB iPhone 6s for the price of a 16GB model, this week the carrier has decided to focus on streaming video.

For a limited time, customers switching from Verizon Wireless to T-Mobile will get one year of premium Hulu service for free, redeemable with a gift code. Hulu offers thousands of the latest episodes of popular TV shows, as well as movies, documentaries and more. The service typically costs $8 per month or $12 per month with no commercials.

In addition to free premium service, customers can also stream unlimited Hulu videos thanks to T-Mobile’s net neutrality-skirting “Binge On” program, which lets subscribers stream unlimited videos from a set list of content providers without counting the data against their monthly caps.

Finally, T-Mobile is sweetening its offer by throwing in a half-price discount on all in-store financed accessories such as smartwatches, Bluetooth speakers, headphones and wearables.

The new promotion is available beginning tomorrow, December 11th, and it will last until the end of the day on December 17th.
