How hot would a deep blue iPhone 7 Plus look in your hand? China-based headphone company BeSound decided to promote its new headphones by trying to answer that question. The company had an iPhone 7 Plus mockup built — likely in a Chinese factory using the same leaked iPhone schematics that others have been using — and instead of using one of the typical colors we’ve seen floating around, they treated the metal housing to give it a blue finish. Then BeSound teamed up with a YouTube vlogger to show off its creation.

The resulting iPhone 7 Plus model may very well be the hottest one we’ve seen so far.

Apple introduced a new color into its iPhone lineup just last year when it launched the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in rose gold. It seems peculiar that the company would roll out another new color just one year later, but the relatively minor visual redesign expected for this year’s iPhone 7 lineup may have prompted Apple to take additional steps in an effort to crank up demand.

We’ve heard rumors that Apple would launch the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in either black or blue. Neither rumor can be considered solid at this point, but we’ve seen leaks that support both new colors. First, a black mute button reportedly headed to the iPhone 7 was pictured in a leak. Then, one of Apple’s wireless carrier partners posted a teaser image that definitely suggests a blue iPhone 7 is coming.

Whether or not Apple’s next-generation iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come in deep blue, we now can at least state conclusively that the new color would look fantastic. The hands-on video showing off this gorgeous iPhone 7 Plus dummy follows below and if you’re an Apple fan, you should definitely check it out.
