Hilarious solution makes sure no one will steal your AirPods

AirPods Anti-Theft Trick

Those AirPods headphones are turning plenty of heads right now, and they’re probably just as easy to steal as they are to lose. Unfortunately, they don’t come with a Find My AirPods feature, but someone figured out a clever way to prevent theft altogether. It might be an incredibly silly anti-theft contraption, but it’ll work and that’s what matters most.

Here goes:

All you have to do is buy the $4.99 sticker in the image above and apply it over the charging box of your AirPods. This is a real product selling on Etsy, as found by Gizmodo. Nobody will want to steal a floss box resting on a table, no matter how cool it looks, right?

That appears to be the thinking here, although it might not always work. As soon as someone realizes what your special floss box is, they might snatch it anyway. You’d better hang on tight to those AirPods and their charging case.

A pair of AirPods sells for $159, while each of the three distinct components of an AirPods set retails for $69. Well, you have to be an AirPods owner who lost either the case or one of the wireless headphones to qualify for that price — it costs $69 to replace the charging case or a missing AirPod.

If you lose the entire thing or have it stolen, you’ll just have to cough up another $159 for a new pair. The good news is that Apple is increasing AirPods production as we speak, so they should be in stock by the time you need to replace them.
