Picture this: you have a 309-square foot apartment in central Hong Kong, and you need to fit a generous kitchen, a bathtub, a home cinema, and a gym inside it. Oh, and you have to make it a fun place for the two humans and three cats that will live in it.
Luckily, one architecture firm is up for such a challenge: The Hong Kong-based LAAB, which created an amazing high-tech residence that’s able to meet all the requirements listed above.

In a way, what LAAB created is the world’s first “four-dimensional” apartment that changes depending on what time it is. You don’t need the bathtub throughout the day, so it’s easily converted into a sofa or spare bed, or a second row of seats for the home cinema. Clever storage all around the apartment lets the owners neatly arrange their belongings, freeing ample space to have dinner parties or practice your at-home-fitness routines.
Last but not least, the three cats will have plenty of fun while their masters are away, thanks to the various cat-friendly architectural tricks that LAAB envisioned.
