Ahead of WWDC 2016, Apple thus far has managed to do a decent job of keeping product leaks to a minimum. Sure, we know that Apple this coming June will showcase iOS 10 and a new version of OS X, but specific details regarding what types of features we can expect to see remain unusually sparse.

Nonetheless, 9to5Mac recently put together an interesting recap running down some software, services and hardware possibilities that we might want to keep an eye out for come June. While iOS 10 will undoubtedly be the focal point of Apple’s WWDC keynote, we would imagine that Apple will have a few surprises in store for us. After all, when Apple introduced Swift two years ago, it literally caught everyone off-guard.

That said, might it be possible that Apple will shock the tech world yet again, perhaps with the introduction of its long long-rumored TV subscription service? If you recall, Apple was originally planning to release a lightweight TV subscription service sometime in 2015. Specifically, Apple was eyeing a service with about 35-30 channels in the $40/month range. However, subsequent disputes with content providers over pricing ultimately forced Apple to put its TV plans on hold.  And while we haven’t heard much of anything about Apple’s TV plans as of late, perhaps Apple in recent months has made some headway in securing deals with content providers behind the scenes.

Another item to keep an eye out for at WWDC this year are any upgrades to Apple Pay, say in the realm of person to person payments. Again, we’ve heard rumblings that Apple is working on such a payment system, but the rumor mill has been mostly quiet on the topic in recent months.

Oddly enough, the rumor mill surrounding Apple’s WWDC 2016 announcements is quieter than we can remember it being in years. Still, make sure to hit the source link below for a broad overview of the items Apple may have on the agenda this year.
