Following the successful release of Windows 10 last week, one man who decided to partake in the free upgrade got a little bit more than he bargained for.

Posting on Reddit, a man detailed how he began the Windows 10 installation process at night before going to bed. Come the next morning, his wife woke him up asking why their computer’s screensaver was cycling through the man’s ostensibly private porn photo collection which, he later explained, included quite a few celebrity nudes.

The reason behind the embarassment? He kept his, ahem, adult photo collection in the all-encompassing “My Pictures” folder.

I suppose the Windows 10 feature which harvests a user’s Pictures folder to create an entertaining screensaver isn’t always that entertaining.

The full Reddit post reads:

Loaded up WIN 10 last night and left it on to do its thing. Woke up to wife asking why I set it to rotate all my porn images right on the desk top view. I have no idea how to shut that feature off and that computer is staying shut down until I do.

Free windows and a free trip to the doghouse. Thanks Microsoft!!!

Edit: Don’t make my mistake, keep your private pictures out of My Pictures, no matter how deep you hide them in sub folders. My wife is very happy I admitted my mistake on this sub. She said I took my medicine and she now finds it quite funny. ‘Ain’t love grand?’

Be careful out there folks. Apparently Windows 10 is keeping tabs on you in more ways than one.
